The feta was a triumph! Creamy, crumbly and salty. I wouldn’t mix it in with a greek salad n case it dissolved – we just sprinkled it on top.
No vegan cheese is ever going to taste exactly the same as a dairy cheese (yet), but this is a great substitute. Finding a decent feta was my last hurdle for giving up dairy – temptation now removed – YAY!!!!!
Yesterday afternoon was really hot, so after the markets and a lunch of a toasted sandwich of Zenzo tasty cheese and red onion I indulged in a Kapiti ice cream feijoa and pear sorbet. Dairy free – maybe I shouldn’t be eating products made by companies that also manufacture a LOT of dairy product, but then maybe buying their non-dairy products will help them see that there is a market for vegan stuff.
